Wanted 71 Super Beetle 1302 inner vent
I have been trying for a pair of these for a while, just putting the feelers out again. I don't want to get rid of them, the head liner is 100%
original and complete.

good luck mate those are a one year only item as they changed to the 3 vents in the 72s. they are like trying to find a new centre vent for the dash.
im still looking not very hard though

Australia, one year only! Sounds very uncommon. I want them now more than ever. The original headlining is fine and does not need to be touched. I
have a new German rear window rubber to put in, and am holding off until I put the new vents in, as it will be a simple process to replace them
then.
I am very interested in repro's.

nah wasnt aus only it was world wide
well excluding the backwards countries like braz and mex still using 6 volt bodies but they were 71 only
looks abit crap without them cos the body is painted mission brown for some reason
in my first 71 super i just covered it with headliner same as original 72 on and used the matching vents
cept they use 4 a side instead of the original 3
just for ppls FYI these arent actually defroster vents there extractor vents they actually suck air in and blow it out of the cabin thro those bannana
shaped vents on the side
it was vws new flow thro ventilation system allegedly anyway
looks to me more like it works the other way round but go figure

Anyone else here in Australia want to go in for a group buy to save on postage? I am in Melbourne. Even if one person is interested locally it would
be beneficial to both of us.

I have got my new vents, and the quality is great. I will paint them and fit them and post the result.
They were not cheap, but it is not a cheap looking product.
There are people that can cigarette smoke that amount of money in a couple of weeks. Not me.

Post some pics, as I wouldn't mind getting a set if they fit well.
