EZ30 motor - anyone used one?
boxer 6 cylinder subi motor from 2000-2002 maybe also called an H6
has anyone any experience with such a beast into a VW?

Humpty has the SVX motor for sale c/w the adapter plate wiring ( every thing ) drop him a pm
The EZ30 is good , but makes in power up in the rev range you will find this a big pain . I had a H6 ( outback )

There are two that I know of in the US and from what I hear, they are both using aftermarket ECU's I think... Very smooth HiTec engine, low on bottom
end grunt and can be very sensitive to conversions from what I have read...
Then of course you have the EG33 option...

Interesting - thanks. I really want low down power as it is for a kombi not a drag beetle. Ideal I guess max about 3,500 rpm or lower...
I found details quoting EZ30 as 162 kW @ 6,000 rpm and torque of 289Nm @ 4,400 rpm so I see what you mean.
Lot of motor for the $ though.
Any comments on what is going to be the best option for a bus with 6 passengers (or more!)?

would fit more or less the same as our S1 V6 (link below) but much better economy

have to agree. hard to beat for price and availability. you could blow one up once a month for the next ten years and never run out....and every man
and his dog knows how to work with the ECU...which is also GOLD and reprogrammable. Gotta love Delco stuff.
You will need custom gear ratios for it though.
