Cut the bulk head off and weld a ball joint or link pin bulk head on.
Like this thing

Not many Super-based Bajas around, but using a non-strut chassis under a Super body blends the 'best' bits from factory VW components for off-road use

HOWEVER with a nice, soft, long-travel spring (a la Nissan Pathfinder) I reckon a coil-springer would be pretty good too!

that bugs LHD so yeah its probably a yank car

theres a super baja bug in volkswagen australia #1 that appears to cop a severe thrashing off road

but easiest way around it like jace said just convert to beam front end

enough ppl around are doing now

that ones actually a super body on a standard floorpan but the end result is the same as fitting a beam bulk head and bolting up a BJ beam

theres a bit of work in the change over
gotta take the body off remove the strut bulkhead and weld in a beam one

it would need to be done with a jig i imagine cos u wouldnt wanna be out at all otherwise u would end up with a bug that crabs down the road

ill have a dig around over the weekend see if i can find volkswagen australia #1 and ill scan the artical cos i havent seen it for probably 10 years so cant remember how he built it

Yeah the yellow one above is a yank car.
Just pointing out how you could do it if you really wanted to.
Would be far easier doing it with a regular beam beetle then a super bug.

Put a beam in and a one piece bonnet and guards if it has the flatter screen
