ea82 in kombi
has anyone ever own'd or drove a kombi with a 1.8 Subaru engine. EA82 I think. Have just scored a 85 subaru wagen for $100. Only carbi not EFI.
What are your thoughts.

I have a mate who has an EA82 in his 75 Bay and it is quite nice to drive. Not as nice as an EJ22 but nicer then the factory 2L. He said it has more
power and seems to be a lot more reliable.
He is very happy with the conversion and wishes he had of done it years ago

Thats good to hear. Was thinking of doing a reco vw 2L, but insted of spending $3000 plus on that might as well put it towards tightening up this
engine. Was checking both engines horse power out put, stock 2L around 53 and subi around 85. Like the idea of a single carbi too.
