Gary Williams at VW classic
Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Gary Williams down in Kirrawee? I'm looking at him building me an engine and was just wondering if
he knows his stuff?

He sure does. He was factory-trained at Lanock Motors in the early 1970s and spent many years at VW King, Punchbowl, as their engine specialist. He
now has his own VW shop at Kirrawee, VW Classic. His specialty is VW Type 4 (Kombi) motors; his reputation is that he is about the best there is.
He just built me a nice new 2.0-litre long block for my Kombi, which is running beautifully. He can also build Type 1 engines, of course.
Go and see him, and discuss what you would like, and how much you are prepared to spend. He will custom-build your engine for you (exchange, if you
like), based on your specs. You will have to allow him a few weeks, but the result is well worth it.
