QLD transport rego transfers

we bought our squareback in 2006 from NSW and never transferred the rego... drove it until the rego ran out... then garaged it until now.......

question is regarding QLD transport.... and fines for not transferrring the rego... any info on how much the fines are and how we can talk our way out of it????

the website says there can be fines if not transferred after 14 days...... we are 2 years late!!

I think the fines are if you get caught driving it after the 14 days...... clearly you're not driving it anymore so I guess no fines.......

..

No problems now, there may have been a problem if you were caught driving it without transferring the rego and werent able to justify it.

But assuming you havent been driving it and robbing banks with it, then you do not have a problem. For further peace of mind there is a statute of limitation of twelve months for these sorts of simple offences, so even if someone wanted to give you a ticket - they cant..

Cheers

vickie im pretty sure you wont be fined for not transferring the rego over , as every one has stated you will only get fined if you are caught driving with nsw plates on after the 14days of bringing the car up here.

No fines..... the squareback is now back on the roads.....

on the way to the rego office we got stopped twice by the police... as there were no plates on the car..... good to know they are doing their job
