[FS - NSW] 1970 type 3 Squareback

1970 VW Type 3 Squareback
Rego QUY 455
4 months rego
odo 99000 miles

Has had a professional re spray in a metallic green colour.

Brand new motor fitted by Vintage VW in 1997. (have receipts)
I was told by previous owner that its a 1600 that has been stroked to 1776

twin webber carbs
extractors
lowered suspension
empi mags - Good tyres with heaps of tread left
Momo wooden steering wheel
VW wooden gear knob
Sports seats in front.
No back seats
Kenwood stereo with subs, & twin amplifiers.
Quicktrack security tracking ( currently not being monitored)
(Quicktrack backup battery needs to be replaced)
Interior has been trimmed in black.
Tinted windows

Rear brakes relined with new drums, & new brake pads on front in Feb 2008
Tune up done with new spark plugs, fuel filter, & 2 new air filter elements in March 2008
Tune up & brake service performend by VW village in Kensington.
New battery & battery isolation switch - May 2008

Excellent condition. Has been very reliable.
Used this car as my daily through the winter months & apart from the battery which has been replaced, it has never missed a beat.
Starts up first time now with the new battery.
Currently it is rarely driven, so i have decided to put her up for sale

Overall the condition of the body looks to be in very good condition.

Some very small rust spots under the paint in the rear panels near the air intake vents.
Otherwise appears to be mostly rust free.

The squareback is garaged day & night.
Excellent example of a VW squareback that will be sadly missed, but unfortunately she has to go.
Located in Maroubra in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Is it as good as it looks? One of my old customers mentioned he would be in the market for another type 3 s/w shortly. I will see if I can get in touch with him and give him your phone number(It may be too flash for him).He lives in Sydney so it shouldn't be a problem for him to arrange something with you. Unless it's been modified the back seat is still there, it just folds down to create a flat cargo deck. You just cann't see it from the rear.
