Not sure if it can be done, but I'd be looking at fitting a 356 or Industrial motor gen as they are 12volt.
I'd looked into a 6 to 12 volt gen conversion and most said they are just to small to fit all the required windings in?

Everything 36HP !
Change over king and link spindles
6-12volt semaphores

its a 36hp so u cant fit a 12volt genny or alternator cos the stand is part of the case shaped to 6 volt

bug boy nailed it most industrial generators are 12v but same diameter as 6volt
hard to find tho

i have seen a 6 volt genny rewound to 12volts
a guy in bundy i knew had one of those 70s euro 1200s
it was a 71 or 72 and they are still 6 volt
cos the bug was quite rare he didnt wanna ruin the originality of it so he had the 6v gen rewound and even mounted the 12volt regulator on top 6v style

speak to an auto sparky see what they say
