can someone explain why and how the handbrake cable for a convertable beetle differs from a standard beetle?

seeing that convertibles were made by Karmann
anything is possible,,,

but I couldn't see why they would be...

the window winder mechanisms are totally different but so are the doors..

sorry, can't answer that one....
