Buying Stuff Online
Ok here is a question for all you Internet Junkies. If you were to visit an online shop and buy something what would be your preffered method of
payment.
Direct Debit - Take longer to get the order but costs nothing, requires internet banking access.
Paypal - around 2.4% fee charged, can pay with credit card, bak transfer or paypal account.
Credit Card - 1.3% fee charged but slower to use than paypal
Money Order - Australia Post sent to supplier

Usually use Direct Debit althought Paypal is a close second.

Paypal is kinda secured in case someone pulls a dodgy. I use that on ebay and bank deposit for people I know a bit more, like you guys on here.

Direct debit first followed by paypal then credit card
Guess i prefer direct debit as "they" give you "their" details rather than you giving "them" your credit card details
Paypal is the quick inbetween method but i understand there is a cost involved

Just bought something and paid with pay Pal, although there wasn't enough in my PayPal account so the balance was automaticaly taken from my linked
bank account, now that seems pretty good and the seller pays the fee as I see it although I pay a monthly fee on the PayPal account. Thing is that the
people I bought it off sent me a message that they will post it as soon as they "recover" (their words) the money from PayPal as they claim it takes
up to 7 days even though it disapeared from my account straight away. All seems a bit strange to me and has set me on the investigation trail.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

Usually "Recover" reffers to people who want to take it out of the PayPal account before they send the item as it stops the customer, ie you from
getting the money back as they leave their PayPal account empty.

I had this happen, put in a dispute with pay Pal then get told they have no money so Sorry but nothing they can do!!
I would prefer to pay by Credit card.

ugh i hate paypal, and only use it for ppl that wont take anything else
direct debit is my first choice and credit card as a last resort
paypal screw u with fees sometimes and often take unecessary processing time

Credit card. Over here (uk) we have protection via CCA (Consumer Credit Act). If it goes wrong (product, transaction, etc) you claim from the Card
company.
You prolly have the same thing over there.
With PayPal you really don't have a leg to stand on
