Wide 5 Beetle and Split Bus rims

I'm wondering what the differences are between 60s Beetle rims and 15" Split Bus rims.
Is the offset much different?
Are Beetle rims only 14"?
What possible problems are there mounting Bus rims on a Beetle or Beetle rims on a Bus?
