[SOLD] 1972 Low Light Kombi

Matthew Sherwood
Hassall Grove NSW 2761
1972 Microbus Deluxe
$1,500 ono
phone: 0417 409 023

VIN: 22221009## (full details to interested parties)

1972 Microbus Deluxe
Low light walk through model.
9 seat compliance plate.

Original 1600 tp (NS1272x###) engine (was running when removed, but a few parts have been cannibalised) can be provided (not installed) if wanted, presume not running.

Good 1600 IRS transaxle.

Looks rough but is a good base for a resto. Some rust and dents, mostly cosmetic. Not too hard to fix. Simple small plate jobs for most and replacement panel sections are available for other areas.
Some bog dug out to explore damage and some more is lifting/cracked.

Great bumpers.

Rear rock and roll bed seat.

Metric speedo.

Good basis for a really good bus.

1972 models have the low light front and late style back which can accommodate either upright or Type IV engines.

Regretful sale, but no time or space to keep as a builder.

Some spares: replacement indicator base and lens, side vent windows, late model acceleratorpedal assembly for conversion, rear drums and cvs etc
Very good tyres.

Hi Matt,

Do you know if the bus was originally red, or are their signs it was another colour form the factory?

Cheers,

David

It was a deeper red (interior shows the factory shade) and white. Previous owner did a dodgy respray in the brighter red.
