HELP NEEDED CHARGING PROBLEM

i was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with my car . battery isnt charging but when i push the left side leaver on the regulator down it starts charging and the genny light goes out but when i take my finger off it comes up and stops charging and the genny light comes back on. i have changed the regulator twice and swapped the wires over on the genny but still nothing. any help would be greatly appreciated cause i am sick of always charging batterys every 3 days
cheers

THE MOVEMENT OF THE TERMINAL EFFECTS THE POINTS GAP INSIDE THE REGULATOR

you need to remove the cover and ADJUST the points gap to allow the points to close at when the engine is reved

Take it to your local Auto Electrician and get him / her to adjust for you

Maybe not enough Voltage to pull the points closed...??

Generator may need over hauling..

You need to check how many volts at the Generator..
