Mid 60's KG resto project for sale
Guys,
I bought this car around the start of the year but as usual with my car projects I have too much other stuff on the go to put any time into this one
and is therefore up for sale.
The car is a mid 60's ghia requiring complete restoration. A brief description of the car is as follows:
RUST
- The car is pretty solid as far as resto projects go. The pan is good overall, from what I can tell only needing a left heater channel...the sills
etc are soilid.
- The front and rear quarter panels on both sides have already been replaced.
- The spare wheel wheel is solid but the nose needs some panel beating and minor rust work.
- Around the rear it's very solid also.
I'm going from memory as I type but will add photos and more description this coming weekend.
INTERIOR TRIM
- Basically everything is there but requires reupolstering
- Gauges, interior trim etc is complete I believe...I have boxes and boxes of stuff
EXTERIOR TRIM
- Front and rear bumpers are there but have been dechromed for some reason, generally straight
- Just about all the trim is there, except I believe one of the rear lens housings is missing...will confirm
RUNNING GEAR
- Engine is out of the car but included, would need total rebuild
- Gearbox / swingaxle etc is installed in the car, condition unknown
- Brakes etc all there but need rebuild
Guys I know it's a very vauge description at this point but be assured that it's a very solid body and pan that requires a strip down, some minor
rust work and repainting/reassembly. Just about all of the hard to find stuff (including glass etc) is included and is serviceable. This car is
perfect for someone looking for a resto project or engine conversion car etc, but is not for someone looking for a quick respray and a dodgy
roadworthy to get on the road.
I will post pics by the weekend and will answer questions as best as I can.
Inspections of the car are welcome and encouraged.

Lastly, a couple of guys on this forum seem to highlight the fact that I have sold every VW project I have bought. My reasons are genuine for selling
and I am not looking at making a profit..these guys know who they are and I kindly ask that their BS comments be kept to themsleves for a change. If
they feel compelled to hang shit again I will be glad to return fire! This an honest sale for genuine reasons, and I encourage anyone who is genuinely
interested to come and have a look at the car, take their time in going over it and make their own decision whether or not it's right for them, with
absolutely no pressure whatsoever from me. I'm happy also to assist those interstate in buying the car also, buy taking specific photographs of the
various areas of concern, but my preference is for people to come and have a good look at the car in person or have someone they know do the same.

I don't want to buy I just wanted to say that your adds are very good. I remember thinking the same thing when you posted your split all those years
ago. It is great to see someone provide all the releeant information a seller might want up front.
