Buying from interstate

Hi all...Thinking about getting back into the vw fold, after a year of selling my type3. And wanted to know what would be the process of purchasing interstate,? Seen a couple of cars so far, but being lowered do they have to go through an mot if registered.as they most probably would get defected .thanks.......................

Depends on Where you live ???

You have 7 days in NSW...
Very strict...

No One can answer your question

as you haven't said Where You live and which state You are buying the car from...

Cor blimey gov, what's an mot then? Is that what they call them inspections in Horstralia naa?

If it has current registration, it should be just a matter of transferring it over to your existing state or territory, which as Lee says, should be done ASAP. If it's out of rego, that's another matter.

When i bought mine from ACT to NSW you have to de register it and then re register it

I believe that is how it works in most places.
You cant "transfer" interstate rego
