Saw a bug get squashed to death today

A van slammed a poor bug and squashed it into another car. All drivers not hurt. The Bug was really original with original registration Martini Olive in colour. It had L bug lights and a flat windscreen, and a 1300 badge on the back. I am guessing a 75 model. It is gone, the back window came out because the window opening creased and closed on the sides it was hit so hard.
