Ebay seller rudeness.
Howdy all, I just thought i would let people know about this incredibly rude seller on eBay, basically the story goes i bid on an item that accepted
pay pal as a payment method. I won this item and paid via pay pal. The Seller then refuses my payment and sends me an abusive email stating he only
accepts bank deposit (why abuse me???). I reported him to eBay as i wouldn't have bid on the item if he didn't use pay pal as a payment method.
He emails me today demanding payment, i responded by telling him that i wont be paying by any other method as I'm not covered with the eBay-paypal
insurance.
He comes back at me with:
"...... STUPID LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH BEFORE YOU WRITE AN EMAIL......."
Now were talking about a $20 item (spark plug leads) and i have a good 250+ feedback under my belt, and he has a good 600+ under his, so there is no
excuse to be going off at me. So i just thought i would warn people of this seller and his rudeness and dodgy ways. I cant imagine what would happen
if i tried to return something i bought.

oh i know its already lodged with ebay trust and safety,
I do realise that pay pal is now required but most people put a clause saying pay pal is for international only etc.
I remember consumer affairs ordering them to stop the compulsory pay pal, wonder what happened there.

I would leave him neg feedback, or at least a neutral one to give him a wake-up call. A quick look at some of his items-for-sale don't have adequate
descriptions, let
alone a formal mention that he prefers bank deposit over paypal. He appears to be just plain lazy and out for a quick buck. He also doesn't mention
postage costs,
something i'm sure he'll hit you with once you won the auction - probably charge you an extra $15 to send those leads to you, when in fact it would
have cost only $8.
You gotta watch the ones that don't give enough information - they rort the system and screw you.

Looking at rat from epay just now, he firmly says NO PP,prefer bank deposit or MO. And he`s listed another (last) set of leads amongst other items.
His selling status is up to 930 now.Can`t see what his prob is,other than him not wanting to pay epay their percentage rate.cheers

I bought a lawn mower from a fellow in early DECEMBER
and I was just about to pay Him with Paypal
and i asked Him if He wanted cash when it was picked up..
He then told Me that he didn't really know what PayPal was...
so cash on pickup it was...
Ebay wanted Pay Pal only - but the ACCC stopped them..
PayPal is great for buyers...
but a headache for sellers...
although many of the Larger sellers have Pay Pal only..
Most of the smaller sellers prefer Direct Debit... in Aust
there are a lot of friendly people on ebay.. IMHO..
and a lot of rip off - postage and packing - people
- some have so many rules - in Large text...
plus all the people selling things they have no knowledge about... etc etc..
and it IS hard to know who is an Idiot etc and who is a friendly normal person...
it looks like You will come thru this one OK...

On the kombi tailgate he was selling, yes, BUT
Not on ALL his items - he is inconsistent. especially on the leads he is selling !
I agree, Paypal is a real pain for sellers - fees are just too high.
a simple quick statement somewhere in his adds in the effect of;
"Prefer MO or Bank deposit, but will accept PAYPAL if buyer agrees to pay additional costs for fees"
he can simply cut/paste into his adds - simple
This will avoid any hassles and everyone is in the know !

As a seller i like pay pal as its quick and painless, ad its a secret VW parts fund that the partner cant access 
A few big issues i have with pay pal is that of someone says they didn't receive the item and you didn't send it registered eBay will find in favor
of the buyer and take the money from your pay pal account and associated bank account or credit card. I have been on both sides of this,seller sold
something (~$200) then disappeared, i put in a complaint and 24hours later i had this guy pleading with me as he had his mothers CC on file (he was
14) and 200 had disappeared from her account :P.
On the other hand i have had a buyer with a 0 feedback say he didn't get some toy i was selling (~5) so as it wasn't registered the money came out
of my pay pal and back to him, about a month later i get a message asking what the warranty on the toy was, i sent the message to eBay they couldn't
recover the money as he had disassociated the credit card with his account so couldn't recover the money, but his account was closed. This is the
scary part for me as a seller, I either make everything registered and then dont get bid as there are cheaper people or take the risk. I just hope
more people don't start abusing this loop hole.
I have been interested in moving to the http://www.oztion.com.au/ site, fairer fees
and something i find amazing is sniper protection, Basically you have seen in eBay where in the last 30 seconds someone snipes you using an online
program and you loose the item for 25 cents. On Oztion every bid below the one minute mark will add a minute to the listing. This allows normal people
to bid and sniping to become almost pointless (hopefully).
As for that above seller, these new descriptions do see to be appearing after our little squabble, so perhaps there is hope for him yet.
