Where to get this repair panel?
Hey, can you get these channel sections in a repo panel from suppliers or do you have to make a repair section or "borrow" this section off a
donor?
I would make them myself but there is a curve in this section I just simply can't do with my lack of equipment. I bent up some straight sections
but I just can't bend a curve in them.
Can anyone help with some donor sections from a 72S or some advise?
Thanks in advance,
Brad.
The photo is not my VW, just a random ebay pic.

Yr after the metal section that holds the rubber seal ???
Vintage have them available they need to be spot welded into position
But you would be better off removing them completely and using a Mexician engine seal wont creat rust and will look much neater attaches to the
lip on the engine lid
the seal are also availbale from Vintage 02-9789-1777

No, I need the whole body section in that spot not the seal retainer. My clean rusted through because of the seal retainer. Looks like it might have
to be a donor job?

Hi
You should be able to find wrecked car that has that section, do a search on posts by "Bizzare" he showed how he got rid of rubber seal lip.
BTW, your generator is fitted 90 degrees out, the earth screw should be near the top. The generator needs to be fitted correctly otherwise it doesn't
receive proper cooling.
