electrical door contacts - where to buy?

Many of you would have seen electrical contacts on the doors and door jamb - near the courtesy light switches -
on some of the Show beetles and in Overseas magazines

I've never seen them for sale anywhere..
Now i'm thinking they may be from another car??

they are used instead of wires going into the doors...

I have speakers in My doors but now i want to add central locking...

I have a pic somewhere I think... I'll post when I find it..

Lee

theres a couple of places in aus that sell them
ill see if i can find the company names

i was going to use them in my bug as central locking, splits, and powder windows means theres alot of wires running to my doors

reason i didnt go that way is only good when doors are shut which isnt much helpfull when its sitting at sound offs with the doors open
