So It's Hot In Oz, eh?

It was definitely not hot HERE this morning!
It was pretty brutally cold.
I know there have been areas of the country that have been colder, but I'd thought I'd post our data this morning, and see what everyone else is experiencing.
This is from a NOAA/NWS site about 25 miles from here. Distance doesn't really matter in this case, its about the same everywhere around.
Check out the wind chill. The pressure is sky high too!
I don't think you have conditions like this even in Tasmania.......

We do get cold conditions here, an aerea known as the Snowy Mountains. Only 6 months ago I had my type3 down there and survived a -42°C wind chill day, not a huge storm either because the chair lifts were still working (thats right it's a ski resort!) and the sun was shinning.

It's pretty cool here this morning, sunny with high cloud 21°C gusty southerly wind (good kite flying weather)

Here in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley it reached 43 C just 3 days ago, oh for a roof and air in the buggy.

Wow........I'm really impressed.
I had no idea those kind of conditions can be experienced there on occasion!!!
Amazing!
I see those chains mounted in the pic, so I know as a US Midwestern resident it was pretty serious

Steve

even though it was 40C yesterday We have had a cool summer so far.. usually the 40Cs come in early December..
then it was 19C last night around midnight...
when the southerly winds came along...

I find its OK to drive My beetle below 36C but once it goes over that.. the air is so hot.. its too uncomfortable to drive with out air conditioning..

normally I don't drive My beetle from mid December till after the high temps disappear in March/april..

now its 25C today... and i can drive my beetle... lol

cheers

LEE
