yes I know its probably been asked somewhere else at some other time! so if you don't have any positive comment don't waste your time typing....
HOWEVER! I seen many many beetles wearing Porsche shoes what hubs and disc's do they run and how much machining is involved or is there a kit?

Really depends on what wheels you want to run... almost every Porsche had different size and offset rims, so the mods needed to make them to fit a
Beetle change.
If Fuchs are your preference then you're in luck as they're pretty much the easiest to get one.. at least ones from a 911 are... because all you
need is standard discs or drums that have been drilled for Porsche 5x130 stud pattern. For example that's how I fitted 15x6 ET36 front and 15x7 ET23
rear Fuchs rims on my Beetle - looked great, no clearance issues at all and completely legal.
To fit other styles and offset rims the mods needed are going to be different, and you may need an engineer approval.
If you know/have the exact rims you want to run they'll have the size and offset marked on the inside face...

Standard sized VW brakes fit inside just about every rim. If you want to change to bigger brakes you may need to look at calliper clearance

Perfect. I would really like to get my hands on some Fuchs and change over my 8 spoke EMPI's . Is there are big deal in getting the rotors and
drums. I guess these are off the shelf items. Terry

i just fitted 6j and 7j fuch's "i bought off sides" on my 64 beetle.
i used drop spindles, standard disc and calipers up front and type 3 rear drums. the drums are off a four bolt pattern type 3.i got studs put in them
all.
the drums need a little machining on the outer snout and on the inner snout on the flange ,so the axle bolt can go on , correct me if im wrong.
and the discs had to get machined to suit my drum spindles, and some caliper brackets to fit the calipers. to easy..
