nothing wrong with that if the motor (and flywheel) are up to it. bikes do it all the time as do drag cars on the start line. the issue that cast
flywheel. I've had a few discussions re the cast cranks in the mexi motors you can buy. i reckon one of those could do the same given a chance.
forged or billet is the way to go for anything that is expect to rev. my bro accidentally sellected 2nd @ 100kays the other day in his split bus. he
momentarily caught 6.5K+rpm on stock crank and rods. all it did was throw the belt...which was on it's way out anyway. what would a cast crank do? I
don't want to know.
