WTB; Beetle bonnet

I'm chasing a bonnet for a '74 1300 beetle (beam front end). I think the 1500 bonnet will fit also. Preferably without damage/rust, as I have exceeded my ability with trying to apply filler to the one I have

Cheers Dave

Thanks Lee,

That should widen my options. Now I need to find a reasonably priced and conditioned second hand one :) ; my other option is to purchase a new one - ouch

Hey mate, I have a bonnet from a 70 1500. It will fit your bug.
Its not in fantastic nic, probably 7/10. It has a good chrome centre strip and i think i have the correct vw badge in the shed.
Think its worth $50, but also happy to swap for superbug or late kombi bits.
I also have glass from same vehicle
pm me if intersted

Thanks Dubsurfer.

The chrome strip isnt an issue, as I'll be dechroming everything, but the badge is good. I'll keep it in mind as its a far better option than forking out the big $ for a new one. I'm following up a possibility up this way, have to see what the state of that one is. I visit Ballina a fair bit, so Lismore is just a stones throw. What superbug bits are you after? I have a old one with possibily some salvagable bits. Its already been picked over - I was just after the floorpan when I got it.

Cheers

Sorry cant PM anyone - yet.

Hi! I am on the Sunshine coast near Nambour, looking for anything relating to building a Baja. Could even do a swap for some good advice.
