[FS - QLD] good buy


Hi! have been offered a 1973 bug no rust in boy,new floor pan, 1600 motor with 009 dizzy. just out of rego good tyre on mags. engine has oil leak and inside a bit ratty. wants $1200 is this worth buying for baja project?????

Does it have mac strut front suspension or beam.
Just curious with it being a 73.
If it's a strut suspension, then i wouldn't bother with trying to make a baja out of it.

Thats a good start. The supers are prone to rust in the gutters and rear pillar around the back window. Often to build a baja it might be easier to start with a second hand one and do it up as there are a lot of components required, fiberglass kit, bar work, wheels and tyres, exhaust, etc. This all costs money and if you find a worn out one cheap, or make one from two cars also works.....Depends on budget...as usual. Food for thought.

Picked up a 7 peice baja kit new for $150 have a mig welder and compressor I am a spraypainter by trade. Now looking for exhaust and wheels.
