Yes we did have a great day. Learned heaps about my engine and where its at. Just hope we dont start another $hit fight with the Pobjoy engines Vs
the Rest like the Newcastle thread. Even though I built my own engine, and I am really happy with it, I reckon Ive got a long way to go to get to
all those other guys.
Like Rose and the crowd from Newcastle, we went along to have a fun day and learn something, and thanks to the guys who put on the dyno day we did
just that.
I can tell you my car ran heaps better, cooler, with better consumption, and now I KNOW that it develops all of its torque right where I want it,
instead of theorising about it.
Thanks to all the guys who participated.

Mine is 147hp @ the flywheel with slipping clutch, one lead off and exhaust leak OR 105 rwhp. the multiplier was 1.4

I am no expert on dynos but I can't see how they can be the same,
Different model dynos, different operators, different conditions.
All our runs were in 4th gear, some operators do runs in 3rd, how can they be the same??
These figures are only good for comparing engines/cars on the day.

bhp is after net losses and then hp is at the flywheel.
that is how you get, is that correct

Great info and definately thankyou for sharing. Great to see some engine specs posted with the hp.
I'm no expert, but in my experience, different machines can vary but if they are properly serviced they should a=be relatively close. Where they do
differ, or how some operators fudge results, is primarily with the temperature probe, put the probe where there is a little more heat than what the
engine is truely consuming and the computer deciding the results tends to show more hp (killer wasps hey Rose), alot more heat and you get alot more
wasps/hp.
At last years Brissy dyno day, for my own interests, we got the operator to run my mates kombi first in 4th gear and then in 3rd gear.....
the results were identical.
Great to see more of these days happening, they are alot of fun.

taking our cars down the track would hopefully tell us what we are likely to have
but at the moment we are comparing with five clubbies cars and a trike and the results for 1916's were close
and at the end of it all we had a good day out.

Your thinking is wrong
A dyno IS A tunning tool not designed to give you a biggest HP read out
the HP read out should be use to see if you can get any more improvement out of the engine on the day that its running and being tuned
Every Dyno will give a different reading
