WTB: 135 tyres

I'd like to do the same profile setup and use porta walls the same as the front of this bug
http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee174/timmyj_p/bluebug.jpg

I've been told by a lot of tyres places that it's impossible to get any smaller than 135 x 80 profile for a 15inch rim.
But I constantly see guys running 135 x 50 -55 on 15inch rims.

Anyone know where i can find a place that does nice skinny tyres like the front of the blu bug???

Any help much appreciated!

the most common 135 used is the nankang 135 R15 tyre. these dont have a sidewall height on them but I think they are about the equivalent to an 80 pofile (about the same side wall height as a 195/50). i have them on my 65 square and they look pretty low profile

What you may have been seeing are the smart car tyres, they come in something like 145/60 and 175/55, not too sure. I think all 135's are standard 80 aspect ratio

Yeah, I've already got the smart car rubber up front. They're too wide, also profile is too small for porta walls. They're made by Continental.

When i get the 135's on the skinnier rims, the smart car tyres and a pair of 165 80 15s (both pairs with the white walls) will be up for sale.
(rubber seen here)

And no, that's the only pic i have of the blue bug. I wish i had more! It's such a sweet ride.

gday, i just went through a similar thing, ended up getting 165 50's after alot of searching. They are very low profile and the only way i am going to get whitewalls on them is to get them painted on.

that front setup looks sweet!!! Love the bullets :)

I need the 135's because of the skinny rims that will be up front and am going to have porta walls on the rear, so kind of want porta walls on the front to match.
Haven't seen the porta walls on a 135 up close, but they always look sweet in pics. I just hope they don't end up too far off the rubber.
