Bit more than just an engine swap: boxster floor!
Came across this last night, got me thinking now! Stock 2000 boxster complete floorpan with a 1303 body on top
You can get pretty much all of it by putting this link through babelfish translater (German to English)

Pretty crazy, but I'd rather just have a Porsche Boxter. That grey colour is so ugly, that's the colour they paint structural steel on industrial
sites

I appreciate the engineering involved, great workmanship
Imagine the look on a Commondore owners face at the off street drags when you have 1/4 mile times that freak them right out.

Lol, I think I should finish the cabrio first, although I do keep getting evil thoughts about just making a new chassis with carrera 4 transmission
and suspension!
This wouldn't actually be too expensive in Europe, but I guess Porsche parts are more expensive down under. Here you could easily get a panel damaged
complete boxster for about £5000 (about 11k AUD), add a bug body, paint job and a load of time and you're done!

That thing is brilliant!! Thanks for posting it, Ricola.
It is like the next generation of the "Nordstadt beetle".
That's a 1303 based on a Porsche 914.

Hey Glenn, much need for your Hoodjax on this car? It is awesome and I love the colour.
1971 Type 3 Fasty - EJ20T
I love 242HP sleepers.
How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn?
UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.

Its amazing how much is fitted in the confines of the 1303 shell.
I saw a similar one somewhere on the web.

That car was for sale on German ebay in decembre 2006. It had a Carrera engine in it. I don't think it was based on a Boxster.
Sorry, the ebay item is long gone, and I don't have any other links or info.

Hi Rich
I cant remember where I found the those photos, most likely from a link in German look (that site is broken at the moment).
I really like the Type 3 air intakes on the 1/4 panels, a bit like the Nordstat Beetle.
So if its a Carrera engine they have reversed it as well, even more work
Steve

This reminds me of the guy who put a Jaguar V-12 into the front of a Corvair, including a rear-mounted transaxle and curved driveshaft to keep the
flat floor. An impressive and beautiful fabrication tour de force, but you have to ask...Why?
