caravelle ej20 (is it worth it)

Do you think there would be a noticeable difference between the 2.1 watercooled t3 engines compared to a ej20. was checking power output and there is only about 12 kw more power and similar torque. Have been checking out all my options from ej20 to eg33. Is just that there are really cheap ej20's with very low k's with everything needed for the conversion. Or do you think it wouldnt be a noticeable difference to bother doing.

thanks

Wouldnt the 2.2 be just as cheap but with more power and torque. Much more reliable than the 2.1 VW.

How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn? UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.

checking power output means nothing ,its only good if everything is 100% new .:no:If you need a new motor just do the sums , I think a subaru is a lot cheaper and there are a lot of subaru motors available.

mate has EJ22. Does pick up faster and is more hammer-proof in a manual, Like mezz sez, EJ22s are under a grand replacement - unlike a wasserboxer refit. But a wasser well looked after and not cained is a good motor never the less. Personally not a fan of EJ20Ts in buses period - in Type3s however ....
