rear axle bearing retainers??
Are the bearing retainer caps on an early wide 5, type 3 the same as an early beetle?
I have used beetle ones, and it seems the drum is not as hard against the backing plate as I would have imagined.
thanks for the help

no there are several different types and they vary in depth to hold the bearing in place
depending on what gearbox you have and also the backing plates will make a difference
