i would measure your narrowed front end against a stock one. 4 inch narrowed usually brings the seal caps within 10mm off the end plates . yours appears to have at least 30mm gap which means its only narrowed about 75mm. worth measuring

have your dropplates in the rear had extra bracing welded to them at the top of the plate down to the trailing arm. if not i would highly recomend cbb do this or else these plates will eventually bend especialy if any weight is carried.have the adjusters been fitted to the spring plates as there doesnt appear to be any adjust bolt

Gday Jason,

Thanks for showing interest in my S/C...
Yes ,the beam is a little under 4inchers(3.78 I think or something close to that) which i had been corrected on before.
No,adjustable spring plates were not fitted when photo was taken.
Mike has designed these drop plates so I am quite confident that they will be safe and carry the weight I will be carrying.
Mike has done a lot of custom work on my other VWs and I am very happy with the quality of the suspension, motor and gearbox that he has built for me,so I am no stranger to Mike and CBB,I guess that is why I am back there giving him all my hard earned cash .

cheers Dean...

Gday Brendon,
The tray sections came from Classic VeeDub and Vintage Veedub both are in Sydney.
The head board was made up by Monster Garage in Penrith and the Sill sections came from CBB in Penrith.
Hope this helps.
cheers Dean..

Heya Dean, Just a quick question. Were your new tray floor panels made up or are they an "off the shelf" item?
Cheers Mitchell
