WANTED: L Bug gearbox nosecone.
Hello, i'm looking for a nosecone, or full gearbox if won't separate, for an L bug IRS gearbox. The nose cone is the one with 3 bolts for the front
gearbox mount. Pick up from the Gold Coast/Brisbane area.
Thanks for any help.

are you after the actual cup or just the rubber thing cause you old one is shagged out??
or both cause you are converting sonething else??
I STRONGLY reccomend the semi-solid Berg mount method if the old one is shagged
The new rubber blocks are useless after about 2 months

Would the L bug mount be ok with an extra transaxle strap across the gearbox? If not, i'm considering cutting the bracket off my other floorpan and
welding it into place, although that'll be a lot of effort..
At the the moment though i'm still looking of the L bug nosecone if anyone has one.

OK - if this is your problem i recommend doing the Berg mount
As said - he L bug mount is crap
What is worse isthe the new replacement is WOEFULL!!
The Berg mount is "shaken not stirred" but if you are after a good handling car then this is what you want

So the berg mount actually welds to the frame horns and bolts around the gearbox. Does it then make the front mount redundant? I got the bolt on type
with the gearbox, one of these:
Would that do the job or still go for the berg mount, and if so, how much are they and where can i get one.
Thanks for your help by the way.
