Hi Kim
What brand of camper conversion do you have on your Kombi, and who is the manufacturer of the mesh sun visor.

I will have to have a look at both & get back to you, the camper conversion was done by somebody at Brookvale, & I haven't checked if they are still going, only about 70% remained when we got it, & it never had legal provision for a gas stove or underfloor water storage, the bed/seat was dodgy & was not designed to seat people while driving

Hey Kim, How much do you want to bet that you don't come back with all those wheel trims? What was the name of that book you told me about?

Cheers

Steve

I like the Front Bull bar, but small criticism.
When my wife had her Bingle it Took out the Headlight and lower door hinge .
This effectively Wrote off the car at $ 4500.
Trouble with the one we have its a Bit Heavy.

wheel trims $15 a set from Super Cheap Auto & fit VERY tight

Book is Beyond Expectations by K.B.Hopfinger

Glen
bullbar has been about 10 months in theory design & 3 months & $30 to make,
Jenny has bad arms & steering needsto be as light as possible, from the Bumper forward it is the remains of a Suzuki carry Bullbar (thanks DAKDAT) underneath is the 6 point "standard" type tube & plate bits, the whole thing only weighs 14kg, & most of that is as far too the rear as possible.
The headlight "ears" at each side were cut off so as to significantly increase parking or u turn ability Its primary function is to take minor or initial major impact before the spare tyre which only requires minor impact to damage the front panel.
Jenny has not had even a minor acciudent in over 30 years of which the last 5 were spent lumbering around in a Humber, so if it happens, it happens

Hi Kim
Thanks for the reply, I haven't herd of modular before, I will have to find out more about them, maybe the next time I'm in concord I can visit and have a look, from the photo the pop top looks very neat! Good luck with your trip, I hope you keep a diary of your travels, and you can give us a bit of a storie, let us know how the Kombi goes out there.

thanks Rob,
the reason we chose that type of pop top
is, 1/. it is slightly lower than the "factory" type, so we can get into more shooping centres & the vehicle seems to have far more stability at speed or with cross winds the downside is that there is no roof vent & you can't have a bunk bed
