voltage regulator


hi, I drive a 1958 beetle and i'm looking for a 12 volt, 30 amp bosch german made voltage regulator . We put a new Brazilian made one but it's over charging. Is anyone out there who could help me to fin one. Cheers . Pierre

make sure you connect it right - some electronic regulators will blow instantly if you connect the terminals wrong once - no visual signs of this.

I had this problems lots!....until i worked it out.

Makes for an expensive experiment - mine were $48 new i think for a Bosch type.

while you are at it does anyone have a new/NOS bosch 6V reg to suit a 160A thin slot gen. (will take a later 180A 6V one if the early type not available)

hey buddy the reg will need adjusting if it is a mech one

best bet is to get a auto elecy or someone that knows what ther doing to do this (could turn messy if you dont know what your doing)
