Pertronix and gt40
Like the title suggests, does anyone run the Pertronix 1 electronic ignition with the Bosch gt40 coil? Suggestion welcome.

or should I say, can I run the Pertronix with the gt40?
The resistance of the gt40 coil from + to - terminal is 3.7ohms.

I thought the Pertronix was meant to be able to hook up to any 12v coil and even some 6v ones. I know that they are meant to wiork better with the low
impedance flamnethrower coils at 0.7ohms but that just allows the current to discharge and charge quicker meaning more power at higher revs.
I could bore you with collapsing magnetic fields and such but it's not bedtime just yet
madness is in the eye of the beholder

Pertronix recommends their Flamethrower coils with ignitor system but they offer them in 1.5 and 3 ohm coils. Which one is the better one to run with
a standard centrifugal 009? They don't really specify one over the other.

double check it but from memory 3ohms is the one you want
1.5ohm are the external ballast resistor type
