Rear seatbelt nuts trouble
I have recently had my car hoodlined and am now in the process of putting everything back together. Only thing is the guy who did it didn't make the
holes for the rear seatbelts to be fitted in. He did with everything else. I have a 1971 Superbug and the belts were factory. My seatbelts are placed
lower than the top of the back seat. I have found 2 holes where I thought they would fit, but the screws are way too small for it. Plus, the nuts in
both of them aren't there. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to whether there are more holes for these seatbelts, if I have the wrong ones.
I don't want to take my hoodlining apart!!! Thanks

I believe You are trying to put the bolts in the wrong holes.
the ones under the rear seat - push the hole thru from under the car...
seatbelt bolts etc are different to other bolts , so they only fit the correct bolts..
I'm not sure whether the bolt holes were the same for all models..
so maybe someone with a 1302S Superbug can measure where the holes are located..
so You need a pin and a small nail to find the holes...

Thanks Lee. I have found the ones that are below the rear seat that bolt on next to the seat, but the ones I'm having trouble finding are the ones
that bolt on near the rear window. I'm going around to have a look at a 1972 model this afternoon, so fingers crossed.

I haven't put My sunvisors on above the windscreen
as I cannot find the holes.... lol
too much padding....
I'll know next time.... [if ever]
screw in screws in ever hole used...
makes it much easier later on....

The seat belt holes are farly close to the rubber at the rear bend,and I hate to tll you Lee that the sunvisors are a registration requirement for NSW

Heres where mine are located, high near the back of the rear quarter window, cant quite remember if the bolt size is 10 or 12mm but I'm pretty sure
it is a finer thread than the normal for the particular size, if you know what I mean.
Mine is a '72 standard beetle, I reckon yours would be in the same area.
