Sorry no pics but when i go and start putting it all together im gonna try and borrow a friends digital camera and take pics of my project.
its not gonna look to good cos the body has a few dints (but no rust) but maybe one day i can pick up a clean 2door to put all the gear in
1976 Mk1 Golf 4door, 1.8l GTI engine with big valve head, Spax PSX sprint kit and a single 45mm dellorto DHLA.

Go to it Crashman
Dont see a lot of Golf's around much now, I'm a bit partial to them myself, my brother had one with a hot engine, built by Mark Hammond,
Bilstein suspension & other goodies, gave quite a few Holdens & Fords a run they never forgot!

Hey crashman
After owing 9 Golfs, I ended up with a whole lot of parts so if you need anything let me know. Mostly standard though which might not suite your
theme. I have a towbar if you wish to have it, you can come & grab it

Well.
Today i went out to my nans to fit my new suspension kit.
i get the car on stands take out all the struts.
things i find wrong are.
-need new bearing and top housing for front stuts.
-need new bump stops for front.
-need to buy the part that the spring sits in on the rear cos the rear suspension is 2mm wider then the original ones were GRRRRR.
so ive left the car there on the stands untill i get all the suspension components i need then ill fit it all. |
