What wheels fit my bay?
G'day.
I've been searching for some 15"+ rims for my bay for ages. I know what rims PCD wise are compatible, but not offset.
I've noticed some Mercedes Benz Vito rims appearing recently. They have 112mm PCD, but I have no idea if their offset is compatible.
I'd appreciate some advice from someone a bit more knowledgeable on this? Thanks.

Is it lowered?? that will also be a big factor in regards to offset.

Nope. Not lowered. I kind of want to do the opposite.
Right now it's stock height, or near enough anyway. I doubt there are many that are bang on stock anymore.

That offset calculator is one of the most useful tools I have seen. Thanks for that!
I plugged in figures which are right now a guesstimate, but it seems like it might just work, barely.

I have a vito and a bay, the vito wheels rub on the bay with 195 60 r16. Offset is a bit odd because of the front wheel drive i think. But in saying
that, the vito offset changed a few years ago I think.....

The vito ones i got hold of are the r15 steelies, so it could be different.
How did you test the wheels? Did you have to bore the stud holes, or is it just tire size issues you are talking about?
Just trying to understand all this new info.

Well, Ibrought them home yesterday. 5.5" wide, 15" 60ET. Looks like they even have 14mm stud holes. I have my bay up on ramps right now so I
can't check for fit. Expecting no major issues up front, and possible rubbing up back.
I realise I'll probably need different nuts but I don't plan on driving it anywhere with these. Just a test fit to see if they are viable.

Finally took it off the ramps to chuck a couple of wheels on to test fit. Here's the pics. I have _much_ larger versions available if they are
wanted.

There looks to be about 1cm of clearance between the sidewall and the spring plate. I had to remove the brake drum retainer bolts to fit the wheel.

It gives the vehicle a slightly narrower track unfortunately, but hey it's all good if I can use 15" rims. Later I want to get some with a more
useful offset that will clear the springplate cap so I can be a bit silly 
The VW wheel nuts seem to be a pretty good match as they both seem to have a ball style taper, but I can't say for sure. Not my area.

Just checked the front. On full lock the tyre rubs against the suspension.
By the way, the wheel nuts do up nicely. They sit about as far screwed up as OEM wheels.

you might find as i did that 35-40 mm ET is ideal especially on the rear you can squeeze 245s with equal clearance from springplate and body. front is
hard to get anything bigger than 225s under without rubbing on lock unless you lift it

I bought the same set for my 74 kombi and never thought about the offset
and the rear wheels just rub on the springplates theyre 215's and the front wont allow full lock even with only 195's on there
as they said you need an et of 35-40
oh you live and learn!
anyone want to buy a cheap set of merc rims?
