Stolen at Car Show?

Went to the Rock n Roll Rendevous at Birdwood Mill last week.

Arrived in good cheer until later in the day I discoverd my Volkswagen badge off the back has disappeared!

mmmm I am assuming it fell off on its own accord (on the long drive up) as surely no one would take one at a car show.

Would love to hear if anyone saw my car with it still intact.

My other question is where the hell do I get replacement badges. Please dont tell me these are hard to find?!

Do people make custom badges?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have heard of this sort of shit happening before. I think a member from here had some centre caps stolen at a show. You'd think that out of all places your car would be safe at a show.

That's just plain f#%@ing rude!

I got some replacement badges from Classic VW but I am sure other places would carry them to. The quality is not that of the original but their not that bad either.

Just the Volkswagen Script on the back

Yeah still not sure if it was stolen ...

Bugger about the poorer quality.

Does anyone custom lettering or script?

Call Richard at V-Force. He has someone who cuts them out of aluminium. Very good. He quite often does custom stuff like Volkswagen 2440 instead of Volkswagen 1600 etc etc but then again it may be cheaper buying from normal shop. Woth a try.

How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn? UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.

Well an update.

I have pretty much confirmed that the badge AND two chrome valve covers were also missing.

So therefore it is assumed that the car show was the culprit.

E mailed the organisers who were sympathetic.

Have to think twice now when i next show my car.

I have had about 3 sets of valve caps stolen in the last 3 years. Must be some real bright people out there - I hope they aren't smart enough to reproduce.
