Will a Super Beetle front bumper fit my 1973 1300 Beetle??
I desperatly need a front bumper to suit my 1973 1300 Bettle for roadworthy. I would like to fit a Super Beetle front bumper (the one with the
blinkers), can anyone confirm it will bolt on?

Thanks for the help guys. My car didn't come with a front bumper or brackets so I need one... But is the chassis mounting point the same as well for
both Type1 and Super (ugly) Beetle?

I have a front bumper off a 1302S super [1971] model..
I also used the front bumper brackets off the same car..
because the supers bumper are more curved than NON Supers.. I had to drill New holes to mount the brackets..
if I had used the Normal NON supers brackets and bolt holes - the bumper would have touched both front Guards
but it wasn't a Drama...
cheers

Well does anyone know a good place in Victoria that might stock front bumpers for Beetles?

a good used German bumper is 100% better than a Brasillian NEW bumper... Very thin steel...
Guaranteed to rust...
All VW Aftermarket shops sell New brasillian bumpers...
Genuine German bumpers are available at some shops
but they are VERY expensive...
cheers
LEE
PS: I've had a new Braziallian bumper on the rear of My beetle for 5 years... I wax it every week to stop rust..
