WTD: Type3 Cylinder air deflectors.

Hi all,

I have a mate after type 3 cylinder air deflectors. They are different to the type 1 cylinder air deflectors. They are larger and have two holes in them. Let me know what you have. The closer to free the better. Cheers.

I take it that you are talking about the ones under the cylinders? Or do you mean the ones hanging down at the rear of the cyl head to connect the air housing to the cylinder tinware. These had a hole around 25mm dia for a heating tube around 25mm dia. I think early type 3 under cyl ones were the same as type one but later ones were slightly different. Not sure if I have anything left in my junk but will have a look in daylight tomorrow for you. Maybe the VW place at Rivo would have a coulpe in his supply of untidy junk!

If you want to fit the Type 3 deflector plates to a Type 1 engine
then you will have to do a bit of cutting and bashing to make them work
