Check out egay for motorbike mirrors. Baja Wes suggested these and I was surprised how good some were and how much cheaper than car mirrors. You should see some that would suit an old school style'

Thanks.. I've had a quick look at bike mirrors and they look ideal.. How do adapt them to fit the threads on the door hinges.. surely they are not the same size?

I bought a pair of these from CIP
Hopefully they will look OK..
http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=C26%2D857%2D820

For those that have emailed me about the 356/karmen mirrors (above)..
I bought them off a porsche site a few years ago.. They are very good quality repro mirrors with all the fittings needed.. They are highly polished/chromed. The glass is also perfect.. Suit a fastidious resto of an old skool karmen or a 356.. Not sure if they will work on a beetle as the have a long swept back neck on them..

I have no idea what they are worth.. Probably around $200.00

Anyone know of any other places to go for mirrors? I wanna replace the one on my Bug but I need to get one either with the screw holes in the same spot as the one that's on there or one that is universal. No idea where to look. I tried ebay but there's nothing there that I like.
