Clever idea but you'd have to imagine that it wouldnt take long for the roof to start opening up like a sardine can. What is the rated towing
capacity of a gutter mounted roof rack? And can you imagine towing that up a hill on the back of a poor little super, no reduction boxes. What happens
if you hit a bump, does it pick the car up off the ground? Scary thought... what happens when you are driving down a winding Rocky Mountain road, with
nothing but drum brakes to keep you from going over the edge... factor in the possibility of ice.
Not too good for your warranty. I reckon they are great for car shows.
