Check the fuse box. Sometimes the fuses & holder oxidise. Give them a bit of a clean / rough up with some sandpaper or use some contact cleaner. My wipers and indicators often randomly stop working because of this. A quick fix is to rotate the fuse in the holder to get a better connection.

david try the flasher out of the kombi
everything after 70 used 3 prong relays

9 times out of 10 its the relay that goes but also the hazard switches have a habit of falling apart

with the ignition on if you pull the hazard switch does the speedo idiot light come on and not flash?

Clened the two prong relay terminals and indicators worked. Hazard lights do not at all and dont show on speedo idiot light either?
