Fuel in My Oil
Hey Guys,
I think I somehow got fuel in my oil. I noticed my oil leavel had significantly increased so I decided to drain the oil and when I did it came out
like water. Ive searched around and from what I can gather fuel can get into the engine through the fuel pump, the carb, or past the rings. I figured
ill start by looking at the carb and the fuel pump first and see if i can sort it out before pulling the heads off.
My question is what exactly am i looking for? with the carb ive herd its caused by the float valve getting stuck down. Is this correct? If it is I
should have no troubly identifying this. With the fuel pump ive herd it could be the diaphram. Will it be physically damaged and will i know by
looking at it what the problem is even though ive never taken one apart?
And if it is the fuel pump, How does the fuel make it into the case?
Thanks
Mike

needle and seat(s) stuck open and flooding the oil with fuel..
get some new ones and check for sticking in the open position before fitting up..
