Purchasing a VW in adelaide
Hi,
I'm in the market for my first VW! Happy Dance.
I was wondering if the members of the forum could point me in the direction of a car-yard (or contacts) in Adelaide that are better places to look for
Beetles (original ones.. i.e. 1975-ish)?
I have checked the buy/sell section of the forum, but couldn't find anything that was for sale at this point. I have also been looking at classified
websites.
Unfornately my previous car of 9 years was written off a couple weeks ago meaning that I need to find a vehicle as soon as possible. While I have
funds at my disposal from the insurance, I can't really play too much of a waiting game and it seems beetles are hard to come by here in S.A.
Any assistance in the right direction would be much appreciated!
Kind regards

Hi aobed,
The enthusiasts club is haveing its monthly meeting this WEDNESDAY night at the Austrian Club just up the hill from the Bombay Bicycle Club/hotel.
It starts at about 7.30pm, you should come along as a guest and when we get to the buy & sell part of the meeting just chuck your hand up and tell
people what you are looking for. I know about 4 or 5 members who have cars of the vintage you are looking for ranging from ruff to concourse, so i
am sure as a club we could help get you sortted pritty quickly.
Also the people i am thinking of do not come on to this forum, so you woud never hear about there cars for sale here.
hope that helps,
Cheers ... Finn OH yeah.... i did the same thing as i am sugesting to you and scored a super sweet T34 razor ... so it DOES work.

Thanks 57Callook and T54.. I'll try both of those approaches.....
It'll be a bit difficult for me to get to the enthusiast club meeting by 7pm, but I'll try and get there. Thanks!
