Idea for recirculating heater air

Hi everyone,

This morning I had an idea for getting a warmer quicker. I could run a big fat hose from inside the cabin to the heater blower above the engine. It would then recirculate already-warmed air from the cabin through the heater. The cabin would get warmer quicker than if it was only drawing frosty air from outside.

What do you think? Is this a good idea, or am I crazy? If I went ahead and did it, what would be the best point to run the hose from? I'd love to hear people's opinions.

A bloke in the US has done just that, the inlet for the fan is near the spare wheel well.

Yeah mine's good too, or at least was until I crushed and tore the hose to the floor vent between the seats. It was fine again once I blocked off the broken hose though. :D I'll get around to replacing it one day....
