Roof Rack

Hi there

I would like to fit a roof rack to my 64 standard Beetle,
who currently produces the best quality brand new roof rack?

The type I am after is the Wolfsburg West unit

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=ZVW47

Does anyone have one of these what is the quality like?

Does anyone have a picture of one fitted up to their Beetle?
My other query is how high do they sit on the roof clearance might be an issue, I only have about 6 to 7 inches of clearance between the top of my Beetle and the garage.

Same queries for the units supplied by mick motors and classic vb, i would like to see some different types on different Beetles please. Does anyone have a photo of their new roof rack and where did you get it from?

Hey jedidan thanks for that

what is the quality like? It looks pretty good, did it come as a knock down kit that you had to build?

a good thing to do is take off the black rubber tube,on the feet and replace with the clear silicon tube, that you get from fishshops. the black shit will leave marks and brake down in the sun. these rack are a good height for sunroofs too
