Bay kombi chrome grill (Well bead anyway)
I noticed amongst the many pics somewhere on this site, a picture of a Bay window kombi with a chrome strip around the grill on the front. I have seen
fully chromed ones but never with just a strip before. I should have saved picture but never. Does anyone know whether this can be bought? Would like
to do same to my 74 bus.

As you would notice , the above photo's are of a lowlight bay deluxe which had the chrome trim around the vent grill standard for a deluxe package
among other upgrades from the standard lowlight kombi .
Late ie 73 onwards Kombi's where by this time a high mount indicator and hence have a different vent grill and even the deluxe in these models ceased
to have crome trim on the vent grill and the side crome trim was dropped from the belt line to approx 300mm below the belt line .
On the upside of lter kombi's like yours and mine they as part of the deluxe package recieved the much sort opening quarter vents .
Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel

With the rust they cause (to themselves and the body , and the lack of air they let in for passengers. I have no idea why the are sought after to be
honest. Bummer its not the same size vent tho. Guess I could look at making something similar tho. thanks for that Oz
