So who's comming to Wintersun
As usual we will be at Wintersun @ Coolangatta over the next 4 days and welcome anyone of you to drop in for a chat etc .
For those not in the know as to what Wintersun is , it's a 50's and 60's rock and roll festival that gas run for 20 odd years @ Coolangatta on the
Southern Gold Coast , plenty of street bands and stages , free entry , 1000 odd cars all pre 72 plus much much more .
We are staying at the "Mantra" on Marine prd

They have cancelled the mid year Victorian event due to lack of interest so maybe that is an indication that it will remain in Queensland.
Nice teardrop by the way Thinking that was yours in VWMA?

Did anyone hear about the 2 cars that were stolen from this yrs wintersun? apparently there was a few last time too.
My father just informed me, i don't know what the second car was, but one was a genuine ford GTHO phase 3... OUCH!

was a 74 monaro and a 1928 hotrod
same deal as last year, taken from the underground locked up carpark of the motel the owners were staying at
i heard last weekend on the oldmans scanner the hotrod was spotted on the side of the road just up from here at Uki, dunno if it was recovered tho
the XB coupe that was pinch last year was found cut in half and torched up near jacobs well tho

Ah ok.
you'd think having such a great machine you would go crazy with security measures...
If they are pro enough though, any thief could steal anything...
There would be ways to set it up without harming the 'originality'
but some seem owners seem ignorant.
Had the next door neighbour stay ova at wintersun with his red stringray corvette and he ain't even got a kill switch, alarm or fuel cut off.
absolutely nuffin but the classic old factory ignition barrel and door lock.
ah wells...
