Hey Jeol, thanks for the reply. I have just bought a 76 beetle inwhich the seat in them are gone. I preferre the look of the low line seat hoping to incorperate them using the 76 profile. A friend and I have just built a beetle to entre into a rally this coming August, from Tasie to the Hunter for the Kidney Foundation. Duing the rebuild the Beetles have really grown on me. Prior to starting the Beetle project I just finished restoring an MGB. I'm hoping the finish the car completly stock with a few personal changes.

Cheers mate

Im reasonably sure '76 beetles have a 3 mount runner system. If this is the case you wont fit complete low back seats to the runners in the beetle. you might be able to swap the low backs onto your existing seat bases.

euro's right, 75 and 76 have the 3 point runners
itll have a big trianlge pyramid thing on the floor pans in the middle

easiest way to get low backs would be find some mk1 golf seats, they have 3 point runners to and fit fairly easy from what i hear, never tried it myself and just remove the seprate headrests
